Claudette has been practicing yoga since 1999, and is a
graduate of the
YogaWorks 200-hr Teacher Training Program. Her training has
greatly enriched
her own practice; deepening her understanding of yoga asana,
its philosophy
and lineage; and has provided her with the ability to create
a safe, joyful
and inviting space in which to guide students toward a rich
experience that
illuminates yoga's many benefits.
She has an extensive background in athletics, dance and
theatre, and was drawn to yoga because of its integrative
approach; emphasizing the connection between body, mind and
breath; key components of her earlier pursuits.
Her teaching style draws from a love of being both
physically active and mindfully engaged in the learning
process. She has a genuine passion for introducing new
students to yoga and finds joy in encouraging her students
to open themselves to the vitality of life. Her classes
focus on alignment, philosophy, self-study,
cultivating awareness and exploring freedom, both on a
physical and mental
level. Claudette is grateful to her many wonderful teachers
and mentors,
especially to her YogaWorks instructors, and The Yoga Tree
colleagues for all of
their support and encouragement.
Come play, laugh and explore as you cultivate a
beneficial practice that will last a lifetime.
